The Disney Destiny, one of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ships to join the Triton Class of the fleet, brings a celebration of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel heroes and villains to the high seas! It first set sail in November 2025 and takes guests on 3 to 7-night itineraries throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale), Florida. The ship offers a slew of fun-filled amenities beloved by Disney Cruise Line loyalists and newcomers alike, as well as newer offerings and details that are already delighting guests and bringing them back for more. Let’s unpack the magic, deck by deck!

Fun in the Sun on the Top Decks

The Disney Destiny boasts 10 different pools and water play areas onboard, including the Toy Story Splash Zone, Slide-a-saurus Rex family water slide, and the AquaMouse water coaster (featuring an adventure only found on the Destiny!). Guests of all ages can find something to enjoy on the top decks, whether you want to spend time splashing together as a family, hang out in a quiet, adults-only spot, or even watch a movie on the larger-than-life Funnel Vision screen. There’s ample seating and towels available when you need them (no rental required, unlike other cruise lines), and both covered and uncovered spaces to lounge in depending on how many rays you want to catch. Plus, the top decks play host to parties for all to enjoy on select sailings – You can meet characters, dance to a DJ, and even watch fireworks at sea!

Delicious Quick Service Dining Options

Staying up on deck, there are many different quick-service dining options available to enjoy on the Disney Destiny. Adjacent to the pools and water play areas, you can find Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods, which offers multiple stalls with different types of cuisines, from BBQ to Mexican to pizza and more. There are also multiple drink stations scattered around the top decks, offering all-you-can-drink water, soft drinks, and coffee included in your cruise fare. And towards the aft (back) of the ship on deck 11, you can find Marceline Market, which is the main buffet-style quick service dining location onboard. This is the primary dining space for casual breakfast each morning, as well as quick-service lunch. Inside, you can find 10 different counters with a smattering of selections, including classic Disney Cruise Line favorites like Mickey waffles and chicken tenders, among others.

There is also a myriad of walk-up coffee bars situated throughout the ship, a specialty sweets shop, and even theatre concession stands to enjoy at a separate cost. Plus, all guests have access to free room service in their stateroom if they want to eat a little something away from public guest areas. No matter where you turn, there’s something to indulge in and plenty of options for everyone!

Rotational Table Service Dining for the Whole Family

One of Disney Cruise Line’s signature elements is its concept of rotational dining for dinner each night. And onboard the Disney Destiny, there are three main table-service restaurants guests can enjoy during their assigned time (whether early or late seating). Throughout your cruise, your dining team actually follows you to each location every night, allowing them to really get to know you and your likes, dislikes, and must-haves.

1923 can be found off the Grand Hall on deck 3, and it has a theme that honors the golden age of The Walt Disney Studios. Just like aboard the Disney Wish and Treasure, the menu features Californian flavors, and the décor features unique storyboards, sketches, and figures from classic Disney animated films. Be sure to walk around both the Walt and Roy sides to see everything!

Up one level higher on deck 4 is Worlds of Marvel, which celebrates the heroes and villains of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This restaurant has a very cool, modern motif, and every table gets to join in the action with familiar faces like Groot, Rocket Racoon, and Ant Man as part of an immersive dinner show. This restaurant can also be found on the Wish and Treasure, but longer itineraries on the Destiny provide more opportunities to sample different menus.

To round out the rotation, up on deck 5 you can find Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, which is unique to the Disney Destiny. Situated like a theater in the round, musicians and singers put on a spectacular retelling of Disney’s animated classic The Lion King while guests enjoy flavors from across Africa. The menu is made up of Moroccan, South African, and East African influences (plus more familiar options for less adventurous palates).

Adult-Exclusive Entertainment & Spaces

In addition to the main dining rooms, there are two adults-only specialty table service restaurants onboard: Palo Steakhouse offers a premium selection of steak and Italian fare in a setting reminiscent of Disney Cruise Line’s classic signature restaurant, Palo. The iteration on The Destiny sits on deck 12 aft with stunning ocean views from most tables, near the other adults-only premium restaurant, Enchante. This elegant dining room serves French cuisine curated by 3-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement and offers the most upscale experience onboard. To dine at both locations, reservations are required, and the cost is not included in your cruise fare. Plus, The Rose bar presents an opportunity to enjoy the sophisticated area of the ship, whether you’re dining in the specialty restaurants or otherwise.

But the dedicated spaces for adults don’t stop there! The Disney Destiny is home to a ton of fun for adults with multiple bars, lounges, and cabaret venues. The Haunted Mansion Parlor offers one of the most intricately themed bar spaces on the seven seas, celebrating the beloved classic Disney attraction. Children are allowed to visit prior to 9:00 PM, but afterwards, guests 21+ can enjoy an adults-only retreat with specialty cocktails and “spirits” among happy haunts in a dark, intimate environment. There’s also Cask & Cannon, which celebrates the Pirates of the Caribbean and features select beers, cocktails, and small bites in the perfect venue for trivia and sports. The Sanctum is a bar themed after Marvel’s Doctor Strange, and De Vil’s is a piano bar in honor of the one and only Cruella from 101 Dalmatians. All provide fun opportunities for adults to get away from the kids for a little bit and enjoy a drink or exclusive entertainment. And be sure to check the activities schedule for your sailing for things like wine tastings, chocolate pairings, and mixology classes, which can be booked in advance (highly recommended) for a nominal extra cost.

There’s also the two-story family lounge called Saga, found on decks 4 and 5 midship, which hosts adult-exclusive cabarets, shows, and dance parties in addition to guest favorites like bingo (which everyone is invited to join). In the evening hours, adults can stop by to see Under Her Spell: A Maleficent Encounter, With Great Power: A Marvel Comedy Show, Match Your Mate, and more.

On deck 5 forward, towards the front of the ship, adults can enjoy the Senses Spa & Salon and Senses Fitness Gym. With amenities like the Rainforest Room, a full gym, cardio equipment, and full-service spa treatment rooms, this part of the ship offers an oasis for adults who want to work out and/or relax during their cruise. Plus, the nearby Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery provide themed opportunities for adults and children alike to book select beauty and grooming services. While access to the fitness center is included in your cruise fare, spa services, beauty treatments, and select fitness classes are available to book at an additional cost.

Fun Just for Kids

In addition to all the amazing spaces for adults onboard the Disney Destiny, fun just for kids can be found at nearly every turn! Deck 2 hosts the main kids’ spaces onboard, including the Oceaneer Club found right off the Grand Hall via spiral slide! Kids can enjoy play spaces themed to the Disney Princesses, Star Wars, Mickey & Minnie, and Marvel, as well as take part in special activities and games. There’s even the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, which gives kids ages 3 to 10 the chance to step into the shoes of an Imagineer and learn more about how roller coasters and attractions are built.

Also on deck 2 is the ‘it’s a small world’ Nursery, which is a space exclusively for the youngest sailors onboard (ages 6 months to 3 years). While kids can enjoy the Oceaneer Club at no extra cost to your cruise fare, there’s a small fee required to book time in the nursery with the specially trained counselors. Babies and toddlers can play, take naps, and have snacks and milk while their parents get some alone time.

Up on deck 5, tweens and teens alike can find Edge and Vibe, clubs exclusively for their age groups. They can come and go throughout their cruise to enjoy video and table games, planned activities with counselors, and more, apart from the grown-ups and little kids. There’s also the Hero Zone up on deck 12, which is a fun indoor play space for everyone to enjoy sport courts, inflatables, and more. It’s a great area for older kids especially, so pay attention to the activities calendar for special offerings within!

Themed Staterooms with Industry-First, Award-Winning Amenities for All

Disney Cruise Line boasts some of the best staterooms at sea, including amenities that set it apart from other cruise lines. Everything was built with families in mind, for travelers of all ages and physical abilities. Most offer Disney’s famous split bathroom layout, featuring two separate bathroom spaces so more people can get ready at the same time (toilet + sink in one bathroom, and shower + a second sink in the other). Additionally, all staterooms offer ample storage space with raised beds that allow you to stow your larger luggage pieces underneath and have more area in your stateroom to move around and relax.

Most stateroom categories include convertible beds in addition to a queen-size bed in the main sleeping area, allowing families and larger travel parties to comfortably stay together. Whether couches that turn down into twin-size beds, Murphy beds that pull down from the wall, or upper berth beds that come down from the ceiling, there’s plenty of room for everyone!

There are four main stateroom categories to choose from on the Disney Destiny:

· Inside

· Oceanview

· Verandah

· Concierge

Additionally, there are Royal Suites and the Tower Suite for the most luxurious and largest accommodations. All staterooms have varying décor themes from different Disney, Pixar, and Marvel, including Hercules, The Incredibles, Big Hero 6, Mulan, Brave, Raya & The Last Dragon, Fantasia, and Iron Man. Staying in a Concierge stateroom unlocks additional perks

both before and during your cruise, including access to exclusive lounge and pool spaces, early seating for stage shows, and priority boarding (among others).

Guest staterooms can be found on the Disney Destiny on decks 2 through 11, either forward, midship, or aft. Decks 6 through 10 are nearly entirely made up of staterooms across categories, while a limited selection of staterooms can be found between other public spaces and amenities on the other decks. When it comes to choosing your stateroom, you’ll want to consider what’s most important to you, including price, a view/space outside, the size of your party, and where you want to spend most of your time onboard.

Broadway-Style Shows, Cabarets, and More!

The Disney Destiny hosts three main, Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theater on decks 3 and 4: Disney Seas the Adventure, Frozen: A Musical Spectacular, and Disney Hercules. There are typically two showtimes each night on the mainstage, which correspond with the rotational dining schedule, so all guests can enjoy some entertainment before or after their dinner. The Walt Disney Theater is a beautiful, two-story venue with some amazing production technology at sea. On select itineraries, you can also expect to see variety show-style acts like magicians, comedians, musicians, and more. The theater itself offers plush seating with boosters available for small children, as well as accessible viewing options for guests with disabilities.

Similarly, cabaret-style entertainment can be found throughout the ship. Whether in the Grand Hall around dinner times, in one of the aforementioned piano lounges, and even up on the pool deck, you can oftentimes find live music and character greetings to enjoy (no reservations required!).

Our Top Tips for a Smooth Sailing

Besides working with the trusted agents at People Mover Travel to plan your next Disney Cruise Line adventure, there are a few things to be mindful of if you’re planning to sail aboard the Disney Destiny:

1. Download the Disney Cruise Line app and link your vacation reservation prior to sailing – This is critical for managing your cruise activities, booking Port Adventures (excursions), and keeping track of otherwise important details. Plus, you take advantage of a fun, Disney-themed countdown as you prepare to set sail!

2. Prioritize bookable activities and Port Adventures for when your window opens – Disney Cruise Line opens activity and Port Adventure (shore excursion) bookings by Castaway Club status prior to sailing. Be sure to note when you’ll be able to make selections, so you have the best chances of getting to enjoy everything on your list. You will NOT be charged for anything until you experience the activity or excursion, but note that your cruise vacation must be paid in full before you can book anything (even if your window opens prior to your balance due date).

3. Complete your online check-in as early as possible – Similarly, Disney Cruise Line opens online check-in prior to sailing based on Castaway Club status to manage the digital flow of information and assign port arrival times + boarding group numbers. Checking in as early as you’re able allows you to select earlier port arrival times and get your documents in order ahead of time, which makes embarkation day much easier. The earlier your port arrival time and the lower your boarding group number, the sooner you can get on the ship and start having fun!

4. Purchase Disney Band+ for use onboard – Want to stay hands-free during your cruise? Consider purchasing a Disney Band+ for your sailing! It can be used to open your stateroom, charge for merchandise purchases or drink orders, and even unlock extra magical touches around the ship during shows and other experiences. You’ll still receive a Key To The World card for everyone once onboard, but using a Disney Band+ is an opportunity for some extra magic!

5. Consider a starboard-facing room to enjoy fireworks at sea from your stateroom – Consider booking a stateroom situated on the starboard side of the ship if you’d rather enjoy fireworks at sea from the comfort of your own verandah or porthole view. We always recommend this for clients traveling with young children who can’t quite stay up that late, have sensitivities to loud noises, etc. Plus, a starboard-facing room also gives you a stunning view of Castaway Cay for itineraries that stop there.

6. Include Travel Protection in your vacation package – Adding travel insurance to any vacation is something we stand by, and it’s especially important to consider if you’re going on a Disney Cruise. Things can happen, and Disney’s Travel Protection Plan offers comprehensive coverage if you run into issues like trip delays, lost luggage, or the need to cancel last-minute. Discuss your options with your travel agent!

7. Always arrive at your embarkation port a minimum of one day before sailing – Don’t push it when it comes to getting to your embarkation port on time. The Disney Destiny primarily sails out of Port Everglades (For Lauderdale), and you should plan to arrive in town at least one day before you’re scheduled to set sail. This ensures that even if you run into flight or driving delays, you won’t miss the boat! Consider staying near the port at a Disney Cruise Line preferred hotel or even enjoying the Florida beaches for a few days before embarkation day.

8. Decorate your stateroom door & join in some fun with your fellow cruisers – Show off your family’s personality with some magnetic door decorations! Not only is this a fun activity, but it makes for a great way to easily find your stateroom amongst the others in long corridors. You can also connect with other guests on your cruise prior to sailing by joining related Facebook and other social media groups to participate in gift exchanges and other activities (like sharing door magnets!). While none of this is required, these opportunities allow for additional ways to create your own magic and share it with others!

9. Don’t skip the muster drill – A must-do on day one of your cruise will be the mandatory safety drill, or muster drill. You’ll hear repeated announcements onboard about it, as well as receive notifications about it in the Disney Cruise Line app, and for good reason. This is an exercise that all guests must take part in before the ship can sail, and it allows you to visit your assembly station in the unlikely event of an emergency. It only takes a few minutes, and Cast Members will be looking for you to ensure you participate and check in with them to confirm.

10. Arrive early to shows in the Walt Disney Theater and parties up on deck – The Broadway-style shows aboard the Disney Destiny WILL be popular and the theater WILL fill up prior to showtime. Whether you’re going to the early or late show (depending on your rotational dining time), we recommend arriving at the theater at least 30 minutes beforehand to get a spot in line and enter as soon as the doors open. Same idea for parties up on deck; plan to look for spots for the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party and sail away party early to ensure you have a good view of the main stage and/or fireworks. As mentioned, fireworks are shot off from the starboard side of the ship, so take that into consideration when choosing your spot and look around for any view obstructions (looking at you, AquaMouse).

11. Consider making a placeholder reservation for your next cruise while onboard – Disney Cruise Line routinely offers a sweet deal to save money on a future cruise called their ‘Onboard Booking Offer.’ While still onboard your cruise, you can put down a flat $250/stateroom deposit to use towards another cruise within the following 24 months. You don’t even have to know exactly when you want to sail again yet! Additionally, the promo typically gets you 10% off your prevailing cruise fare once you pick a sailing, as well as a reduced deposit. While there are blackout dates and some stateroom restrictions, this is one the best ways to save money on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
