Disneyland Paris Enters a New Era: Discover Disney Adventure World and What’s Still to Come
For years, Disneyland Paris has been a favorite destination for Disney fans looking to experience the magic in Europe. Now, the resort is undergoing its biggest transformation ever, with the former Walt Disney Studios Park officially becoming Disney Adventure World and welcoming incredible new experiences that are completely changing the future of the resort.
If you've been considering a trip to Disneyland Paris, there has never been a more exciting time to start planning.
Welcome to Disney Adventure World
On March 29, 2026, Walt Disney Studios Park officially transformed into Disney Adventure World, marking a historic milestone for Disneyland Paris. This massive expansion and reimagining will eventually nearly double the size of the park and create a more immersive experience centered around beloved Disney stories rather than the original behind-the-scenes movie studio concept.
At the heart of this transformation is a beautiful new central area called Adventure Way, which leads guests through themed gardens, new dining locations, family attractions, and toward the park's stunning new centerpiece: Adventure Bay.
The park already includes fan-favorite areas like Marvel Avengers Campus and Worlds of Pixar, but the newest additions are what have Disney fans around the world talking.
Step Into Arendelle at World of Frozen
The headline attraction of Disney Adventure World is undoubtedly the new World of Frozen, which officially opened in 2026. Guests can now walk through the Kingdom of Arendelle, complete with towering mountain peaks, charming Nordic architecture, and Elsa's Ice Palace overlooking the land.
Highlights include:
Frozen Ever After boat attraction
Meet-and-greets with Anna and Elsa
Arendelle-inspired dining experiences
Unique shopping locations
Interactive entertainment throughout the land
The attention to detail rivals the Frozen lands found at other Disney parks around the world, making this one of the most immersive themed areas ever created at Disneyland Paris.
Adventure Bay and New Entertainment
Another major addition is Adventure Bay, a massive new central lake that serves as the heart of Disney Adventure World. This picturesque waterfront area connects the park's immersive lands while providing beautiful views and relaxing spaces for guests.
Each evening, Adventure Bay comes alive with Disney Cascade of Lights, a new nighttime spectacular featuring fountains, music, projections, drones, water effects, and fireworks. The show serves as the grand finale to a day in Disney Adventure World and has quickly become one of the park's signature experiences.
Families can also enjoy the new Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family-friendly attraction inspired by Disney's Tangled that adds even more charm to Adventure Way.
What's Still Coming?
While the transformation has already been impressive, Disney isn't finished yet.
Perhaps the most exciting project still under development is an entirely new land inspired by The Lion King. This will be the first immersive Lion King-themed land ever built at a Disney park and will feature a major water attraction taking guests deep into the Pride Lands alongside Simba and other beloved characters.
Disney has shared that the attraction will feature iconic music and scenes from the classic animated film, creating a completely new experience exclusive to Disneyland Paris. Construction is already underway, making this one of the most anticipated future Disney attractions anywhere in the world.
Once completed, Disney Adventure World will feature four major immersive lands:
World of Frozen
Marvel Avengers Campus
Worlds of Pixar
The Lion King themed land
This expansion represents one of the largest investments Disney has ever made in Disneyland Paris.
