Meet the Disney Treasure
The Disney Treasure, one of the stunning ships in Disney Cruise Line’s new Triton Class, invites guests to embark on immersive cruise adventures inspired by the spirit of exploration. Sailing 7-night itineraries throughout the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Disney’s signature Port Canaveral, Florida terminal, this ship blends fan-favorite Disney Cruise Line offerings with new, high-tech experiences that are already capturing the hearts of both loyal and new cruisers. Let’s look at all the magic ready to be discovered, deck by deck!
Soak Up the Sun on the Upper Decks
The Disney Treasure offers a wide variety of pool and water play areas designed for guests of all ages. Families can splash the day away in themed areas inspired by characters and stories they love, including the Toy Story Splash Zone, while thrill-seekers can hop aboard the AquaMouse water coaster for a one-of-a-kind adventure at sea featuring the exclusive Mickey Mouse short called Curse of the Golden Egg. Plus, cruisers 18 years and older can enjoy a pool on the very back of the ship just for them!
Whether you’re looking to relax poolside, enjoy an adults-only retreat, or catch a movie on the Funnel Vision screen, the top decks definitely deliver. There’s plenty of seating, complimentary towels (no rentals required!), and a mix of sunny and shaded areas to suit your vibe. And on select nights, these decks transform into party central, complete with character appearances, music, dancing, and even fireworks at sea!
Crowd-Pleasing Casual Bites Abound
You’ll also find plenty of quick service dining options to keep everyone fueled throughout the day up on deck. Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods offers a variety of different stations, from BBQ to pizza to Mexican and more, making it the perfect spot for everyone to grab a bite between activities without having to head to a formal dining room. Guests can also take advantage of complimentary drink stations positioned around the pool and water play areas with unlimited soft drinks, coffee, and water included in their cruise fare.
For a more expansive casual dining experience, Marceline Market serves as the ship’s main buffet-style restaurant up on deck 11 (not far from the pools). This location offers daily breakfast and lunch with a wide range of options, from kid-friendly Mickey waffles and chicken tenders to more adventurous selections, seafood, and more. Add in walk-up coffee bars, the specialty dessert shop Jumbeaux's Sweets, and even theater concessions (available at an additional cost), and you’ll never be far from your next delicious bite. Plus, you can always access complimentary room service from your stateroom when you need a little something or late-night snack!
Immersive Dining Experiences for the Whole Family
A hallmark of Disney Cruise Line is its rotational dining concept, and the Disney Treasure continues this beloved tradition. Guests rotate through three uniquely themed restaurants while their dedicated serving team follows them each night, delivering personalized service throughout the voyage. Each restaurant offers its own atmosphere and menu, making dinner an experience you’ll look forward to every night!
1923 is found on deck 3 midship right off the grand hall and celebrates the legacy of Walt Disney Animation with elegant décor and a California-inspired menu. Worlds of Marvel, up one level higher on deck 4, brings the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life with interactive dining experiences featuring guest-favorite heroes like Spiderman, Captain America, Groot, and Ant Man. Finally, Plaza de Coco on deck 5 (exclusive to the Disney Treasure!) offers a vibrant, theatrical dining experience inspired by Pixar’s Coco, complete with live music, storytelling, and Mexican flavors. And given the Disney Treasure typically sails on 7-night adventures, guests can often experience different shows in this restaurant based on their rotation.
Elevated Escapes Just for Adults
For adults looking to unwind onboard, the Disney Treasure delivers a variety of elevated experiences just for them. Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté offer upscale dining (available by reservation and for an additional cost), with stunning ocean views and Italian and French menus, respectively, curated for a refined night out.
The ship is also home to uniquely themed lounges and bars, each offering its own ambiance, specialty cocktails, and entertainment. From elegant piano bars to immersive storytelling lounges, there’s no shortage of places to relax and recharge! The two-story lounge, Sarabi (inspired by The Lion King), hosts a range of cabarets and activities, from family trivias and bingo to adult-exclusive shows in the evenings. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is a first-of-its-kind lounge celebrating the beloved Disney attraction in an all-new way, and perfect for everyone to enjoy before it turns into an adults-only space in the evenings. Plus there’s the Skipper Society and Periscope Pub, unique bars only found onboard the Disney Treasure, as well as Scat Cat Lounge, The Rose, and more!
For ultimate relaxation, adults can also visit the Senses Spa & Salon and fitness center on deck 5 forward towards the front of the ship. Whether you’re booking a massage, enjoying the Rainforest Room, or squeezing in a workout, this area provides a peaceful escape at sea. And the nearby Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery offer select grooming services for the whole family if that’s more your speed!
Spaces Designed Just for Kids & Teens
While the adults relax, kids can find endless entertainment and things to do throughout the Disney Treasure! The Oceaneer Club on deck 2 midship offers immersive play spaces themed to Disney Princesses, Marvel, Star Wars, and more, plus hands-on STEM experiences in the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab. There’s even a slide from the Grand Hall one deck above offering the kids a unique way to get to the fun!
For the youngest cruisers ages 6 months to 3 years, the it’s a small world Nursery provides a safe, fun environment with trained counselors (available for a nominal, hourly fee). Tweens and teens can head to Edge and Vibe on deck 5, where they’ll find dedicated spaces for their age groups to hang out, play games, and participate in activities designed just for their age group. And for even more action, the Hero Zone offers an indoor sports and activity space perfect for older kids (though everyone can enjoy this space depending on the hosted activity schedule!).
Thoughtfully Designed Staterooms for All Travelers
Disney Cruise Line is known for its thoughtfully designed, award-winning staterooms, among other amenities, and the staterooms aboard the Disney Treasure meet those well-known expectations. Built with families in mind, most rooms feature Disney’s signature split bathroom concept, making it easier for everyone to get ready at once with a toilet + sink in one bathroom, and shower + a second sink in the other. All staterooms offer plenty of storage, including raised beds that allow you to stow your larger luggage pieces underneath and have more open space in your stateroom to move around and relax.
Most stateroom categories onboard include convertible beds in addition to a queen size bed in the main sleeping area, allowing families and larger travel parties to comfortably stay together. Whether couches that turn down into twin size beds, murphy beds that pull down from the wall, or upper berth beds that come down from the ceiling, there’s plenty of room for everyone!
Stateroom categories on the Disney Treasure include:
· Inside
· Oceanview
· Verandah
· Concierge
Additionally, there are Royal Suites and the Tower Suite for the most luxurious and largest accommodations. All staterooms are otherwise decorated with Disney and Pixar themes inspired by stories of adventure, and feature well-known characters from Aladdin, Pocahontas, Encanto, Luca, Up, and Finding Nemo.
For those seeking a more luxurious experience, Lion King-themed Concierge-level staterooms and suites offer exclusive perks like private lounges and pool space, priority ship boarding, and other premium amenities.
Guest staterooms can be found on the Disney Treasure on decks 2 through 11, either forward, midship, or aft. Decks 6 through 10 are nearly entirely made up of staterooms across categories, while a limited selection of staterooms can be found between other public spaces and amenities on the other decks. When it comes to choosing your stateroom, you’ll want to consider what’s most important to you, including price, a view/space outside, size of your party, and where you want to spend most of your time onboard.
Show-Stopping Entertainment at Sea
Entertainment onboard the Disney Treasure is nothing short of spectacular. In the Walt Disney Theatre found on decks 3 and 4, guests can enjoy three signature Broadway-style productions on most itineraries:
· Disney Seas the Adventure
· Beauty and the Beast
· Disney The Tale of Moana (exclusive to the Treasure!)
With two showtimes nightly to align with your rotational dining schedule, everyone has the chance to experience these incredible performances. Additionally, live music, character encounters, and pop-up entertainment can be found throughout the ship. The Grand Hall found on deck 3 midship is the central spot to find these kinds of offerings.
The Disney Treasure brings storytelling, adventure, and world-class service together in a way only Disney Cruise Line can. Whether you’re a first-time cruiser or a Castaway Club regular, this ship has something for everyone and plenty of reasons to come back again and again. Let’s set sail!
Pro Tips to Make the Most of Your Voyage
Besides working with the trusted agents at People Mover Travel to plan your next Disney Cruise Line adventure, there are a few things to be mindful of if you’re planning to sail aboard the Disney Treasure:
1. Download the Disney Cruise Line app and link your vacation reservation prior to sailing – This is critical for managing your cruise activities, booking Port Adventures (excursions), and keeping track of otherwise important details. Plus, you can take advantage of a fun, Disney-themed countdown as you prepare to set sail!
2. Prioritize bookable activities and Port Adventures for when your window opens – Disney Cruise Line opens activity and Port Adventure (shore excursion) bookings by Castaway Club status prior to sailing. Be sure to note when you’ll be able to make selections so you have the best chances of getting to enjoy everything on your list. You will NOT be charged for anything until you experience the activity or excursion, but note that your cruise vacation must be paid in full before you can book anything (even if your window opens prior to your balance due date).
3. Complete your online check-in as early as possible – Similarly, Disney Cruise Line opens online check-in prior to sailing based on Castaway Club status to manage the digital flow of information and assign port arrival times + boarding group numbers. Checking in as early as you’re able allows you to select earlier port arrival times and get your documents in order ahead of time, which makes embarkation day much easier. The earlier your port arrival time and lower your boarding group number, the sooner you can get on the ship and start having fun!
4. Purchase Disney Band+ for use onboard – Want to stay hands-free during your cruise? Consider purchasing a Disney Band+ for your sailing! It can be used to open your stateroom, charge for merchandise purchases or drink orders, and even unlock extra magical touches around the ship during shows and other experiences. You’ll still receive a Key To The World card for everyone once onboard, but using a Disney Band+ is an opportunity for some extra magic!
5. Consider a starboard-facing room to enjoy fireworks at sea from your stateroom – Consider booking a stateroom situated on the starboard side of the ship if you’d rather enjoy fireworks at sea from the comfort of your own verandah or porthole view. We always recommend this for clients traveling with young children who can’t quite stay up that late, have sensitivities to loud noises, etc. Plus, a starboard-facing room also gives you a stunning view of Castaway Cay for itineraries that stop there.
6. Include Travel Protection in your vacation package – Adding travel insurance to any vacation is something we stand by, and it’s especially important to consider if you’re going on a Disney Cruise. Things can happen, and Disney’s Travel Protection Plan offers comprehensive coverage if you run into issues like trip delays, lost luggage, or the need to cancel last-minute. Discuss your options with your travel agent!
7. Always arrive at your embarkation port a minimum of one day before sailing – Don’t push it when it comes to getting to your embarkation port on time. The Disney Destiny primarily sails out of Port Everglades (For Lauderdale), and you should plan to arrive in town at least one day before you’re scheduled to set sail. This ensures that even if you run into flight or driving delays, you won’t miss the boat! Consider staying near the port at a Disney Cruise Line preferred hotel or even enjoying the Florida beaches for a few days before embarkation day.
8. Decorate your stateroom door & join in some fun with your fellow cruisers – Show off your family’s personality with some magnetic door decorations! Not only is this a fun activity, but it makes for a great way to easily find your stateroom amongst the others in long corridors. You can also connect with other guests on your cruise prior to sailing by joining related Facebook and other social media groups to participate in gift exchanges and other activities (like sharing door magnets!). While none of this is required, these opportunities allow for additional ways to create your own magic and share it with others!
9. Don’t skip the muster drill – A must-do on day one of your cruise will be the mandatory safety drill, or muster drill. You’ll hear repeated announcements onboard about it, as well as receive notifications about it in the Disney Cruise Line app, and for good reason. This is an exercise that all guests must take part in before the ship can sail, and it allows you to visit your assembly station in the unlikely event of an emergency. It only takes a few minutes, and Cast Members will be looking for you to ensure you participate and check in with them to confirm.
10. Arrive early to shows in the Walt Disney Theater and parties up on deck – The Broadway-style shows aboard the Disney Destiny WILL be popular and the theater WILL fill up prior to showtime. Whether you’re going to the early or late show (depending on your rotational dining time), we recommend arriving at the theater at least 30 minutes beforehand to get a spot in line and enter as soon as the doors open. Same idea for parties up on deck; plan to look for spots for the Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party and sail away party early to ensure you have a good view of the main stage and/or fireworks. As mentioned, fireworks are shot off from the starboard side of the ship, so take that into consideration when choosing your spot and look around for any view obstructions (looking at you, AquaMouse).
11. Consider making a placeholder reservation for your next cruise while onboard – Disney Cruise Line routinely offers a sweet deal to save money on a future cruise called their ‘Onboard Booking Offer.’ While still onboard your cruise, you can put down a flat $250/stateroom deposit to use towards another cruise within the following 24 months. You don’t even have to know exactly when you want to sail again yet! Additionally, the promo typically gets you 10% off your prevailing cruise fare once you pick a sailing, as well as a reduced deposit. While there are blackout dates and some stateroom restrictions, this is one the best ways to save money on a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
